Village of Lakewood Storm Damage to the House
This storm water was the result of the heavy rains from the July Event of 2017 backing up into to the basement level of this home in the Village of Lakewood. The photo illustrates the water covering the concrete floor. We extracted the water to create a safer home environment. We also placed air movers and dehumidifiers were set up to evaporate and capture the remaining moisture lingering in the structure. This moisture removal took three days to dry out the concrete pad slowly and to verify that the cinder blocks were also within normal standards of dryness. Before rebuild could happen, these verifications are necessary to prevent future mold or pathogen problems.
