Kitchen Stove Fire in Huntley, IL

This is a stove fire caused by cooking oil. Notice the damage on the corner of the stove and wall. The wall behind the stove was damaged by the fire. Smoke and soot was also through the rest of the apartment. The apartment was occupied by a elderly women throughout the process. We had to clean the walls, ceilings, and floors. We also clean some toe contents free do the women not being able to afford it. The process of cleaning involved cleaning each room without disturbing the women. We completed the cleaning in 2 days. The restoration took an addition 2 day that was to paint the complete apartment, replaced the counter tops in the kitchen, and repair the damage drywall.

The renter could not find words to express herself since she was so grateful for SERVPRO being there to help.
